Jon Pushkin, APR, Senior Public Relations Consultant

Talk about well rounded. I started out to be a high school history teacher, then became a folk music concert promoter and spent a long time on the road as a professional musician and recording artist. Before starting my own PR consulting business in 1997, I was responsible for corporate sponsorships and promotions for the Denver Zephyrs Baseball Club, group sales for the Arvada Center, special events for the Jewish Community Center and public relations for Jewish Family Service. My areas of expertise include media relations, strategic planning, special events, corporate partnerships, community relations, writing and marketing communications.

Professional accomplishments:

Winner of a Gold Pick Award for Small Practice of the Year from the Colorado chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for a National Stroke Association campaign that included a PSA with George Bush (senior), satellite media tour, video news release and a cover story in USA Today.

All-time Minor League Baseball Opening Day attendance record.

Produced first Denver Jewish Community Festival and first Denver Folk Festival.
